So, work has been crazy lately and I need a break...so I've decided to take the time to jot down the words that Joshua is saying now. As most of you know, he's got a bit of a speech delay. Most kids his age (27 months) at least use 2 or 3-word sentences, but he's still getting into the habit of actually labeling something instead of grunting. So, without further ado, here is his list!
hi
bye
this (dis--sometimes DI-ih-IS!)
yes ("dess")
no
please (beez)
ma (what he calls me)
home
house (always said in a whisper)
eye (also said in a whisper)
God (gahs)
ten
nine
eight (ace)
bed
mine (min)
milk (mils)
up (uh)
down (dow)
in
out
off
yay
hand (han)
day
duck (guck)
hen (we've been reading The Little Red Hen a lot lately)
That's all I can think of right now...but hey, that's like 27 words! We're out of the >10 range! We're still working on getting him to say them all spontaneously instead of having to be prompted like he does with most of this list, but I know that will come in time. I'm so proud of my little guy. It's been a long time coming. Now to get all of these words on video...
