There's a fungus on my back? =\

I had a mole semi-removed this morning--they're sending it for a biopsy to check for cancer (the doctor didn't seem too worried, so I'm not. Either way, I'll hear back from the lab in a week or two). Anyway, after they removed the mole, the attending nurse remarked that it looked like a tiny mushroom.

I'll never be able to look at edible fungi the same way again.

Wow. I hope the biopsy is negative!

This is CRAZY (I hope you're okay) because I have a weird-looking mole that just appeared on my arm two days ago and I was thinking of getting it checked out. Good luck with the results!

Oh wow, so I have a weird biopsy story too! But mine was right on my nose! I had this weird bump that was right on the end of my nose. I had it for about 5 or 6 months and finally decided to go in to my dermatologist. He did a biopsy too because he said that skin cancer often starts on the nose! Crazy, I had no idea! But, then he said that it probably wasn't and that it was likely just a wart. A wart!!! Who gets a wart on their nose besides a nasty green witch! So it wasn't cancer...

I never DID like mushrooms all that much. Make sure I get a phone call when the results come in! Meanwhile, find other healthy things to eat besides fungi.... :)
